Include your macOS version, the source image format, selected output format, and the error shown in CleanSlate. Do not attach private images unless they are safe to share.
Same-folder access
The Mac App Store version is sandboxed. The first time you save beside an original image, macOS asks you to authorize that folder. Select the folder containing the original and click “Allow Access.”
Why can PNG output be larger?
PNG is lossless, and the quality slider applies to JPEG output. If reducing size is the priority, choose JPEG and adjust quality.
Metadata removal
Use the information button beside a processed image to inspect the source metadata fields and the number of embedded metadata bytes removed.
